Falcon Rods.

Falcon.  Real.  American.  Fishing.

The Falcon story began in 1990, when they took some of their first fishing rods to Falcon Lake on the Texas-Mexico border. After just a few hours on the water, they not only had their company name, but an experience to remember. In freshwater and salt, from Alaska to the Amazon and beyond, Falcon Rods have been making dreams come true for beginners and pros alike. The Fishing Hole is proud to feature the Falcon line in their great line of fishing tackle. Come out and see a great selection of "Original" Series, "Lowrider" Series, and "Cara" Series rods, and the new "BuCoo" Series.

Original

The Falcon “Original” series, 25 tournament-tested American heroes just keep getting better. This collection of 14 casting and 11 spinning rods now features stronger, lighter, low-to-the-blank Fuji guides for longer casts. Fuji ergonomic graphite reel seats and 33 million modulus graphite blanks that extend through the handle add up to the best combination of strength, sensitivity and durability of any rod on the market.

The “Original” Series built Falcon’s reputation as a great American rod builder. In the early years, all Falcons were “Originals.” Today, the 14 casting and 11 spinning models stand for time-tested performance and reliability. The look has changed but the qualities that made these Falcons great has remained the same, like fish catching actions developed over many years by experienced fishermen, blank-through handle construction, and 100% Fuji components. And best of all, they are still made the in the USA.

Lowrider

The Falcon LowRider® XG has earned its status as a perennial favorite among tournament bass fishermen, featuring Fuji blank-thru reel seats, Fuji guides, and our American-made LowRider graphite blanks.

The LowRider guide system, a revolutionary development when Falcon introduced it in 1995, is still the state of the art today. Just ask Falcon Pro, Clark Wendlandt, two-time FLW Angler of the Year. Made in the USA.

BuCoo

Ask an angler in Louisiana how many fish he caught and the answer is usually “Beaucoup.” A lot. This popular expression has inspired the design and name of a new series of extremely light and tough tournament rods – Falcon BuCoo – based on Falcon’s own legendary made-in-the-USA blank. Fuji guides and exposed-blank reel seats provide sensitivity, and Eva split-foam grips mean light weight and comfort “after a long day of catching BuCoo fish.” Everything about this rod is BuCoo except the price, with retail prices starting at $99. Experienced anglers who pick one up will know this rod is “the one.” There’s an old expression among bird dog handlers that applies here, too: “I can’t tell you what it is exactly, but I know it when I see it. This is ‘the one’.” The new BuCoo series has seven casting and three spinning models – each weighs less than four ounces, yet includes models specifically designed for a wide range of heavy-duty applications like flipping and pitching, Carolina rig fishing, and casting crankbaits and spinnerbaits. The seven casting models range from 6.5 to 7 feet in length for lures and from 3/16 up to one ounce. Three spinning models handle light-bite situations. BuCoo is for experienced pros, but the modest price will allow new tournament anglers, such as those on college teams, to acquire a full set of matching rods for all winning bass tournament applications.

Cara T7

We’re especially proud of the Caras®. Just in the short time we've been building Caras, they have become the new standard in quality specialty rods. They are lighter, stronger, and more sensitive than anything out there. But best of all, like all Falcons, they have the right actions to make you a better angler.

STICK JACKETS

One of the coolest things about being in the tackle business is the opportunity to see new products and possibly encourage their expansion. How often as a non-boater or just a guest on someone else's boat have you fought with the tangle rods can become as a back seat fisherman. Sometimes you encounter that same type of tangle when transporting rods outside of your own boat. Finally even with all the great rod organizers available in most modern bass boats we sometimes have more combos than the boat manufacturer even began to think might need to go on a fishing trip.

When those rods are stacked together tangles are sure to follow. ~ End The Tangle!!

I have used a number of various rod covers with varying degrees of success. I found Stick Jackets the best answer yet. Their unique braided construction and wide expandability means easy on and off installation. They may be used over large line guides on fully rigged rods. Unlike cloth sheaths, barbed hooks are easily removed. Stick Jacket rod covers are great in boat rod lockers, rod storage tubes, in the back of your truck or going to and from the boat.

Stick Jacket™ fishing pole covers are made of a tough polyethylene filament that is virtually imperveous to salt as well as resistant to mold and mildew. The braided materials behaves much like the old "Chinese finger trap" gripping your fishing rod for snug protection against unwanted damage to line guides, rod tips and blank.

A feature I like is having the different colors available on Stick Jackets so that I can use the colors as an identification system for my rods. Top-water baits one color, Spinner-baits another color, and so on makes for quick identification in my locker.

Stick JacketTM fishing rod covers are one of the "...hottest products for 2009."
